The Christopher Dock Award, the highest award presented by the school, was given to Lauren Elizabeth Derstine and Benjamin Philip Bergey. Earning summa cum laude honors, based on a cumulative grade point average of 4.00 or above during all four years of high school, were Benjamin P. Bergey, Lauren E. Derstine, Emily R. Graber, Patricia J. Kooker, Karisa N. Martin, Courtney E. Melanson, Steven J. Rittenhouse, Adriel J. Santiago, Jessica L. Sears, Elizabeth R. Speigle, and Nathan C. Weaver. Earning magna cum laude honors, based on cumulative grade point average of 3.85-3.99 during all four years of high school, were Brent P. Anders, Aaron M. Clemmer, M. Andrew Derstine, Jessica L. Hedrick, Graham J. Holcomb, Alysha B. Landis, Katelyn M. Meyers, and Timothy D. Sutcliffe. Receiving cum laude honors, based on a cumulative grade point average of 3.70-3.84 during all four years of high school, were Caleb A. Benner, Ingrid S. Derstine, Monica R. Detweiler, Shelly D. Landis, Paul J. Rakszawski, and Terri A. Smith. The following students received subject area awards: Isaac J. Ruth– Charles Clemmer Art; Lauren E. Derstine and Benjamin P. Bergey - Paul R. Clemens Bible; Maura E. Hanlon - computer/business; Adriel J. Santiago - drama; Emily R. Graber - English; Stephanie J. Freed - foreign language; Jessica L. Sears - family and consumer sciences; Elizabeth R. Speigle – mathematics; Benjamin P. Bergey – music; Terri A. Smith and M. Andrew Derstine – physical education; Karisa N. Martin – science; Caleb A. Benner – social studies; J. Dietrich Alderfer – career study; Karisa N. Martin - writers. Sixty students from the Class of 2007 received scholarships and grants totaling more than $2 million. The awards are from Christopher Dock, undergraduate institutions, and local organizations. The 102 graduates brought Christopher Dock's total graduates to 4,066. After the period of special recognition, Assistant Principal Martin D. Wiens presented the Class of 2007 to Bradley C. Landis, president of the board of trustees, and LeeAnn Bergey, treasurer of the board of trustees, A baccalaureate service and a pre-service meal for seniors, their parents and the school faculty took place Friday, June 8.
