Christopher Dock Mennonite High School opened its doors in September 1954 on 40 acres of farmland in what is now Towamencin Township. The beautiful and well-maintained Dock campus, which today has expanded to 75 acres, is considered by the community to be one of the school’s great assets.

The school offices are located in Detweiler House, named for Richard Detweiler, Dock’s first principal.

Spring and Fall are exceptional times to enjoy the beauty of the Dock campus.

Dock’s state-of-the-art library provides both physical and intellectual access to information, but also learning experiences that encourage students to become discriminating consumers of information.

This springhouse was an eyesore on the original property when it was first acquired, but a major facelift has made it an enduring part of the beauty of Dock’s campus today, and a favorite of artists and photographers.

Many students and parents have remarked that the open Dock campus is more like a college campus. Students are free to enjoy the campus between classes and during the lunch period, when many gather outside with friends to play stickball, throw a Frisbee, or even fish on Groff Pond.

Dock Stadium was one of the first facilities in the region to install a turf playing surface, which continues to provide a first-class location for Dock athletic teams as well as rental groups from the community.

Rosenberger Academic Center (RAC) is the newest addition to the Dock campus. This beautiful 40,000 sq. ft. building houses science and computer labs, the Conrad Grebel Library, Family and Consumer Sciences lab and Guidance suite. RAC includes a number of “green” features, including geothermal heating and cooling systems.

"Some specific memories I have of my first week of school is that Dock is so beautiful. It just looks like a college campus,” one 9th grade student said recently. Arrange a campus tour soon and see for yourself!
